About Us

The Christmas Goose quilt shop is a fully stocked traditional quilt store that has been in business for 28 years.  We carry more Civil War style fabric and flannels than any other store in the valley and carry hand work, wool applique, paper piecing and many more styles and techniques.  We know that name is a little strange for a quilt shop, but it makes us unique and unforgettable!

History:
The Christmas Goose Quilt Shop started out as a gifts and collectibles shop in 1993.  We carried Boyds Bears and Thomas Kinkade paintings and many handmade and home decor items.  Before the gift shop opened, The Christmas Goose was a traveling craft show organized by Jeanette Sherrick.  Every spring and fall, many crafters would display and sell their wares in model homes around the Las Vegas valley.  Eventually Jeanette decided to settle down in a brick and mortar shop and we slowly evolved into carrying fabric.

In 2005 we moved to the location that we are in currently and left the collectible world behind to move forward into the quilting world full time.  Now, Andrea Marquez, Jeanette's daughter, has taken over the shop, making sure the original atmosphere and down home feelings that Jeanette perfected remains the same.  Andrea started working at the shop when she was 15 and has never left.  Why quit a good thing?  Keeping the family business striving is a personal goal and being the open now for 28 years, we are hoping for another 28!

In 2108 Andrea's husband Jason joined the family business by adding an additional longarm machine, a 15 needle professional embroidery machine and a Freejet printer for custom shirts, photos onto fabric and quilt labels.
