This 2 part class you will be provided with practice quilt top to learn how to layer and pin, stitch in the ditch, cross hatch, free motion, and stencil work as well as going through different tools to help with the top stitch process of quilting your own quilts with your domestic machine. Lunch is provided on both days
Requirements:
1 yard muslin for backing fabric
36x36 piece of your choice of batting
Sewing Machine in working order. Must have knowledge of your machine and ability to drop feed dogs.
Darning / Free motion foot
Walking foot / Even Feed foot
Quilting bar ( "L" shaped bar that may have come with your machine)
Chalk pencil or blue pen for marking
1 inch safety pins
Machine Instruction Book / Manual (just in case)
Thread - Dark colors would be ide3al for this class, because you want to see the work you are doing. Any brand and weight you would like to try. I will go over brands and weights of thread in class
Optional: quilting gloves and plexiglass table
